Ikonix Connect is a full-featured critical messaging app built for healthcare. It’s a vital part of the Ikonix Unified Messaging Suite.
As Ikonix Connect continues to grow, it’s already complex enough to demand its own set of release notes.
To ensure cross-platform performance, we ensure compatibility for iOS (Apple iPhone); Android; Connect for Web, the browser version; and then the expanding collection of integrations via Ikonix Messenger, to deliver alerts to frontline team members’ phones. Release 9.0 — November 2024
In many circumstances we understand that clinicians will share a single mobile phone, handing this between them as they take over an on-call shift. This poses obvious issues for audit trails and data attribution, when different people share an interface with the critical messaging system.
In this update we significantly upgrade the role-based messaging facilities of the app to cater to this. Now, as the phone is handed over, users can switch profiles with ease. This change in identity is then synchronised with rosters and WebConnect, so everyone else can see who is now on call.

With the release of encrypted paging we have upgraded Connect to support in-app paging by encryption.

Roles have been updated to include the ‘Unit’ detail as an additional subheading under a Department.
